Salman Khan's 2002 hit-and-run case turned interesting as his car driver Ashok Singh suddenly came out of no where and claimed that it is he who drove the car that night. This twist came at that time when every thing was against Salman Khan and he is going to be punished for sure. However the entire nation knows that it is a fabricated evidence now involving an innocent man, the driver.
However this incident reminds the case of a popular Telugu Star hero son many years ago. The actor's son under the influence of alcohol rammed his car in to the pavement at Banjara Hills and killed three sleep there. The star hero however used his contacts and replaced his son with a driver and diverted the case. Media was not so wide then as today and the case was conveniently brushed under the carpet. Now that star kid is a big hero again.
Coming back to the Salman Khan's case, in the early hours of September 28, 2002, Salman’s white Toyota Land Cruiser rammed into a shop in suburban Bandra, near his sea-front residence in Galaxy Apartments, killing one person and injuring four others, who were sleeping outside on the pavement.
