Superstar Mahesh Babu is turning to be the real Superstar off screen too. After his stupendous hit Srimanthudu, he has brought the change of using bicyles and now to adopt villages. Starting off with him, he promised to adopt two villages one from Telangana and one from Andhra Pradesh. You might be wondering how come suddenly Mahesh decided to adopt a Telangana village too.

Coming to the story, Mahesh announced that he will be adopting his native place, Burripalem, as part of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu's Smart Village program. He took up this with the help of his brother-in-law  Galla Jayadev. On the other hand, Telangana IT Minister was stunned after watching the movie and called up Mahesh and asked him to adopt a village as part of KCR's Grama Jyothi program.

Mahesh revealed that he nodded for adopting so. It seems he will be adopting a village in Mahabubnagar district and the details regarding the same will be revealed soon.

The tweetathon of Mahesh is below:

The #SmartVillage initiative lead by @ncbn garu prompted me to adopt my own village, Burripalem.

This would not have happened without the support of my brother-in-law, @jaygalla, MP from Guntur.

Very Humbled after receiving a congratulatory call on the success of Srimanthudu from Minister PR&RD @KTRTRS.

He suggested I adopt a village from the most backward district of Mahbubnagar as part of their #GramaJyothi initiative.

I said YES :) More details to be announced soon.. .

Srimanthudu is a special film for many reasons :) Gained immense respect and love from all my fans... Made me more human :)
