These days any movie
which releases gets into 100 Crore club. Despite the content and clarity, the
movie reaches 100 Crore club. But few movies which are getting lots of praises
and labelled as cult-classics have failed at Box-office. We are going to
provide list of few movies which have failed at Box-Office, but still won our
hearts.
1. Swades, We the
People (2004)
The movie is a unique
experiment with some grass root realism. Ashutosh Gowariker has directed the
movie. This movie also portrayed Shah Rukh Khan as an actor. As usual the movie
bombed at Box-office due to the off beat theme.
2. Khamoshi: The Musical (1996)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali
has directed this movie and this movie revolves around a girl who has two
worlds. One world is with her deaf-mute Parents and other with Music. The movie
has a stellar cast of actors like Nana Patekar, Seema Biswas, Salman Khan,
Manisha Koirala and Helen.
3. Johnny Gaddar (2007)
A simple gang war
movie which portrays raw emotions and some blood shed. As usual the gang war
portrays lies, deceit, betrayal and death. Sriram Raghavan has directed
it. The colour red was used predominantly as the director was inspired a lot
from Hollywood movie 'Sin City'. The unpredictability was the biggest strength
of the movie.
4. Dil Se
Yet again Shah Rukh Khan as an actor movie. Maniratnam has directed the beautiful love story between a journalist and a terrorist. A.R.Rahman's Music elevated this to next level. The entire movie is poetic and the acting was also brilliant. But still the movie failed as the ending was not a happy one.
