Rana, Tollywood's hot hunk with his macho looks bowled Bollywood with his debut film Dum Maro Dum. Rana attained superstardom with the sensational success of Rajamouli's Baahubali. His role Bhallaladeva created stunning impact on movie lovers. 


According to the latest Rana decided to do creative roles and buzz is he will be starring in underwater war flick. 30 year old Sankalp Reddy, assistant director who conducted research on Indo-Pak war of 1971 found that Indian Navy sank Pak vessel PNS Ghazi from its Vizag base.

There was a book based on the incidents titled The Blue Fish which revolve around Arjun Rathore, executive officer of Indian submarine S21 and his team, who were under water for 18 days. 


A source says “Talks have been on for some time now. Rana liked the plot of the film and expressed his willingness to be part of it. Sankalp is presently working on some final touches to the story and will meet Rana for a final narration soon, “


Source close to Rana added “Rana will be playing a naval officer on board the Indian submarine. The filmmakers have approached Prakash Raj to play the Indian commander. The underwater war sequence will be the highlight of the film. The filmmakers have built a submarine prototype in Hyderabad, where a majority of the film's shooting will take place, “
