Atharvaa Murali had a decent run with his last release 'Chandiveeran' and right now he acts in the movie 'Rukumani Vandi Varuthu' under Rajamohan direction. Rajamohan earlier directed the movie 'Vaanvarayaan Vallavaraayan'.
The shooting of this project happens in Kodaikanal for past five days. Along with Atharvaa, Thambi Ramiah is also doing a crucial role in this movie. The movie is based on a problem on a village which is situated in Tamil Nadu - Kerala border.

Atharavaa's character is shaped in such a way that he solves problem on both the states and how he saves the village. Regarding the movie, Director Rajamohan says, "The movie has a solid message. At the same time we also have commercial elements.
Atharvaa has done an intense character. Atharvaa has done loads of homework. Especially he has observed people living in border of TN and Kerala and has spoken the same slang. Right now we are at Kodaikanal and shooting few talkie portions."
