Ace director Maniratnam never used to repeat his cast even though he used to score blockbusters with them. He used to choose actors depending on their suitability to the characters in his films.Even Rajamouli and Shankar fall in this category. Unless until they feel that the actors suit for the roles,they will not repeat the combos just because they scored hits.

In Ok Bangaram,Nitya attracted everyone with her terrific performance and expressions.Many felt that Nitya turned out to be a smiling assassin and had other heroine did the role,film wouldn't have become such a hit. Even Maniratnam heaped praises on Nitya and now sources say he offered her role in his next film.
It is known that Maniratnam is doing Komali and the film stars two heroes and two heroines. Earlier Maniratnam planned to cast newcomers but he didnot get suitable actors.
