In what is being heard as a rather shocking and unexpected twist of events, it is heard that the Income Tax authorities have launched a joint attack on the houses of various film and TV artistes. Sources say notable among them are the names of Brahmanandam, TV anchors Suma, Udayabhanu and Jhansi.
According to reports arriving, it is heard that the IT officials are verifying the tax receipt payments made by the artists and the documents are currently under examination. Some of the film industry members say the names mentioned are earning in huge amounts due to their demand.
One cine source revealed that Brahmanandam is charging nearly Rs 5 lakhs per call sheet for single day. As for Suma, it is heard that she is earning around Rs 8 lakhs to Rs 10 lakhs per month minimum. For now, the Tollywood circles are pensively waiting to see the outcome of this raid.
