Looks like stars are in favour of Gunasekhar and his Rudhrama Devi at least to some extent. The director's last minute decision avoided the movie from becoming mother of disasters. When Guna released the teaser of item song in the movie months ago, there was a huge criticism about him trying to commercialize the history.
After serious head storming, he decided to avoid the item song in the film which helped finally. Experts are of the opinion that the movie must have got outright disaster if the song is in the film. Despite the postponements, the hype on the film is intact and that helped for a good advance booking.
As a result the movie opening is expected to be good. On the other side, the talk of the movie is not heartening. There is a divide talk every where and it will affect the film's long run. Trade experts say the movie will have a strong first weekend and the run from Monday will decide its fate.
Rudhrama Devi is brave attempt from Gunasekhar which did not work out fully due to directional flaws. However the movie has got a fair chance to become at least average at the box office. The movie was exempted from 15% Entertainment Tax in Telangana, that will help the movie immensely in the Nizam region.
