As we said earlier, Indians are often good at something and they make India proud outside the nation. Few days back an Indian scored the perfect SAT score and he made India proud.

Now an Indian painting has grabbed attention in Chicago. A painting exhibition was happening for a month's time at the premier Art Institute of Chicago. The exhibition is called as, 'The Gates of the Lord: The Tradition of Krishna Paintings'. This exhibition will take place till 3rd January 2016.

It features lots of large textile paintings which are generally referred as 'Pichvais'. The name 'Pichvais' is part of the Pushtimarg tradition. This exhibition also comprises of miniature paintings, drawings and pretty rare photographs. So this is something unique and there are more than a 100 artworks from both Public and Private collections.

Madhuvanti Ghose who is the Alsdorf Associate Curator of Indian conceived it. This event is supported by Reliance Foundation. Pichvais are traditionally hung behind the deity or his swaroop in the temples of this tradition.
