Two Indian Origin Singaporeans were arrested and thrown behind bars for involving in rioting and gang fight. They were sentenced up to 5 years of imprisonment. Jai Ganesh Tanapolan was found guilty on three charges while Dinesh Kumar Ruvy was found guilty for rioting and possessing a deadly weapon without any license.


Ganesh was sentenced to five years in Prison and Dinesh Kumar was sentenced to 4.5 years in jail. Apart from imprisonment, they will also get six strokes of the cane. Last March both Ganesh and Dinesh attacked two male who were leaving a club.


They were attacking fellow Indians Logesvaren Subramaniam and Sashi Kumar Asogan. However they fled the scene immediately. But Logeshwaran's spouse found them at a nearby Taxi stand.


Logeshwaran went a 11 hour long surgery and his spouse made a formal complaint against them. A police report said, both the guys who were arrested are just 25 years old and they have used a chopper to slash Logeshwaran's forearm. They also had troubles earlier with some riots.
