Ludhiana City Police has arrested a father son duo for cheating a woman under name of marriage and stealing her Gold ornaments and cash. The accused name is identified as Kulwant Singh and his son name is Indrajit Singh from California. They were booked under sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC.
The case was registered based on the complaint of Manjot Singh who is from Harcharan Nagar in Ludhiana. As per the complaint, Kulwant has approached the family for marriage of his son Indrajit.
Family also agreed to marry Manjot's daughter Harpreet with Indrajit as he is working in California. During engagement, Manjot family gifted gold ornaments and cash to NRI groom. But after that, the father and son were avoiding marriage talks and this has shocked the girl's parents.
And when they tried to poke nose, they were shocked to know that Kulwant already knew that his son Inderjit is married to someone else. The complaint was thrown immediately on father and son and now they are thrown behind bars.
