The Japanese nation citizens will be given Visa on arrival from March 8th on wards. The recent step is taken to increase the tourist inflow into the country and business. The advantage is given to the Japanese to increase the e-Tourist Visa and nearly 150 countries are benefited by the deal.
The e-Tourist Visa requires a duly filled application form before they reach India, but the Japanese Officials and people need not go through the procedure. Japanese will be given visa after reaching India and it is available only in six designated airports such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The visa will be made available at business, tourist and medical conferences and it will be valid for 30 days. Reportedly it was said that 1.8 Lakhs Indian visas are given to the Japanese officials, out of them 80% are tourists. Around 600 Japanese comes to India daily. Earlier Visa was given to people of 12 countries.
Presently the visa is given only to the Japanese Officials and it further extends to the Republic of Korea. The Prime Minister has declared the Visa will be given to the Japanese on arrival to India, when the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited India during 2015.
