The Indian Government has catapulted Rotavirus Vaccine on March 26th on behalf of the country’s Universal Immunization Program to reduce the child mortality and morbidity. The vaccine was developed by the public and private partnership science and health ministers.


It was organized as the landmark of achievement under the Prime Minister’s “Make in India” campaign, which was said by the Health Minister JP. Nadda. Nadda has said the Rotavirus will be first introduced in Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Odisha to make immunization for children who are under five years.


Rotavirus is one of the serious causes of diarrhoea and has caused deaths around one lakh among children. Nadda has stated that presently they have taken a new milestone towards expending the immunization coverage for children to reduce the child mortality. The immunization program will reduce the hospitalization, malnutrition and delayed physical and mental development.


The Health Ministry Secretary BP. Sharma has said the vaccine will reduce the pocket expenditure. The country’s Universal Immunization Program which was organized during 1985 is one of the largest Immunization Programmes in the World.
