Congress Vice President visited the flood affected parts of Cuddalore and he said politics should not be mixed with relief operations. He also sad the relief work must be done with full focus to reach out as many as possible.
Rahul Gandhi said, "I think this is not the right time to play politics. We should get together and make sure that the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are provided all the relief that they need. The areas are badly affected and people are in search of their livelihood.
I visited flood-affected areas of Rodierpet, Shanmugha Nagar and Eachankaadu and I provided the relief material to them. I saw the sadness in their eyes. Our relief material can feed them and save them for a day or two. But later ?
The Government must take immediate measures to this. Along with Rahul Gandhi, Senior Congress leaders including party General Secretary Mukul Wasnik was seen along with him. Rahul Gandhi also sought help from Congress in centre to provide more relief funds.
