It has been only a week since there was a big announcement from AP.
The Andhra Pradesh government is all set to construct a Temporary
Secretariat building in Amaravati Township and house the employees there
by June next year.
The construction of this
building will reportedly cost around 180 Crore to the state exchequer.
There have been quite a few controversies and discussions whether such
an expense is really necessary.
However sources
say that Naidu has a clear plan for this wherein AP government will be
recovering the double the cost of the Temporary Secretariat from
employees itself within no time since they will reside there.
These
employees would now start paying their professional Taxes in AP and
also indulge in other forms of spending money that would bring more
income to government through the VAT and other taxes. At the same time
the real estate scenario in the capital will improve earning more
revenues for AP!
