Though the Telangana state has formed and some still feel the bitterness of bifurcation strongly, life is moving on and both Telugu states are doing their best to get back to normalcy. Throughout this issue, the city of Khammam played a key role owing to its location and population.

But now, there seems to be a turning point in store for Jagan. This is through the municipal elections in Khammam. Though this city is part of Telangana, it has a sizeable population of Seemandhras and the feeling towards Telangana has been mixed.
On the other hand, YSRCP managed to win three seats here and their only MP is also from Khammam. Given this, if Jagan can focus strongly on this city and wrestle out few victories on behalf of YSRCP there is a good chance that it might boost his party and cadre. What say Jagan?
