Special Status for Andhra Pradesh is a prestige issue ans status symbol for people of the state. Political parties and leaders of the state try to calm down the tempers and may not raise their voice against the Union Government led by PM Modi and AP CM Chandra Babu, ruling TDP, Jagan Mohan Reddy's opposition YSRCP and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena may have their own problems, however people started intensifying their protests.

Now if everything goes well PM Modi will soon get blood shock for AP special status. Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samati (council for securing special status) decided to send blood to PMO office in New Delhi to seeking special status. 100 activities donated blood demanding special status and asking PM Modi and his government to honour its promise made during elections.

The blood was collected on Thursday and now it will be couriered to PMO office in New Delhi. Chalasani Srinivas AP Intellectuals' Forum president and leader of Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samiti said "The blood donation is our final warning to the Centre. They should immediately fulfill all promises made in Rajya Sabhaon February 20, 2014 when the AP Reorganisation Bill was adopted,"


Srinivas who organised the blood donation program said "Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought mud and (Yamuna) water in two pots at the foundation-stone laying ceremony of our new capital Amaravati. Now, we are sending him our blood demanding special status for the state, including the monetary benefits attached to it,"

He stated "Justice delayed is justice denied. We have already been denied justice, but the Centre should undo it and grant special status without further delay,"


CPI state secretary K.Ramakrishna too was present and he blasted Union Government for depriving AP the benefits it promised during the bifurcation. He said "Out of the Rs 16,000 crore revenue deficit, the Centre released only Rs 4,000 crore in the last two years. The promised railway zone at Visakhapatnam, steel plant in Kadapa, national educational institutions did not happen. The Centre seems to have no commitment or concern for AP,"
