AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu is going on foreign tours on exchequers money claiming that he is briging investors to put the state on fast track and also present world class capital city at Amaravathi. Many people are believing Chandra Babu's words but opposition parties like Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP and Congress party are blasting him and his party leaders including his son Lokesh indulging in various scams in the guise of development.
Now it is comingout that AP is abuzz with MLA vata. Already ruling TDP MLAs are facing various allegations like making huge bucks in sand mining, liquor shops and official transfers. Now it is comingout that they are making money demanding MLA vata through real estate layouts and prominent constructions.
Realtors accuse that it has become a norm to pay them Rs 2 lakh for an acre in a big layout in districts outside the CRDA’s limits. This amount is twice or three times higher in the APCRDA region. Realtors, builders and individuals are directred to the MLAs by the Revenue and Town Planning officials and only after getting their consent are granting permissions.
Recently in West Godavari district , a realtor identified a 25-acre piece of land for development, and as part of accepted procedure, approached the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO), who directed him to meet the local MLA.
Even liquor and sand contractors are expected to pay commissions and any delay or reluctance on their part will attract severe punishment by the MLAs. This is the formula of ruling TDP across the state. Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers Association (APREDA) secretary-general Gadde Tirupatirao said they received various complaints and requested government to make the system online.
He revealed that the corruption began at the village sarpanch’s level and extended to the MLA. However ruling party MLAs are rubbishing all the allegations saying Chandra Babu is giving corrupt free government.
