The Telugu Desam Party enjoyed the privilege of being the only strongest opposition party in Andhra Pradesh which gave a tough fight to the Congress. But now, it looks like their position itself is getting threatened and the sad part is, they have been getting shock treatment from time to time.
This is coming from the budding party YSR Congress. On one side, the moving out of TDP leaders and getting into YSRCP has hit the morale of Chandrababu Naidu and others. At the same time, the growing presence of YSRCP is challenging the domination of TDP in many areas, especially in Telangana region.
Congress is not being brought into this because many are sure the party is bound to lose so the main battle during the 2014 elections will be between TDP and YSRCP. But going by the way YSR Congress has been progressing and growing, it looks like TDP has to come up with some better plans to prove their presence and identity.
