The gritty and determined Rayalaseema daughter YS Sharmila is all set to cross another milestone of her marathon Padatyatra right in foot steps pf her esteemed father YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
On the 188th day today Sharmila has clocked 2500 kms in her Maro praja Prasthanam which she began on October 18 from Idupalapaya , the memorial of her father . In spite knee injury Sharmila is on way to set a new record of 3000 kms of walkathon bettering record of opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu soon, i.e. by July 24th.
YSRCP leaders are erecting a life-size statue of YSR at Kakarapalli village of Kotanandunuru mandal in the district today to immortalize the feat.
First time in history, a woman has undertaken such an arduous challenge—to cover 3,000 kms. YSR had touched the 1000 kms mark during his 'Praja Prastanam' padayatra in East Godavari district and Sharmila too is setting another milestone of 2500 kms in the same district
Her family firmly believes it's the blessings of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and well wishers that have made Sharmila successful in her mission today. Through out the padayatra she has been conveying message of YSR’s welfare schemes for poor and Jagan’s commitment to continue them.
