AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu may boast that his government is people friendly and law and order is the top priority for him and his ministers. However in a shocker TDP MLA's brother has taken law into his hand and thrashed a journalist mercilessly in Chirala, Prakasam.
A.Srinivasa Rao alias Swamulu brother of Amanchi Krishna Mohan, MLA of Chirala, thrashed a freelance journalist. The incident happened two days back but till now police didnot make any arrests.
In a shocker an ex-councillor filed a counter case against the journalist N Nagarjuna Reddy under the SCs and STs (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Now the journalist is undergoing treatement in Chirala.
One-Town Inspector of Police Venkateswara Rao said "We have registered a case against Swamulu and his followers but no arrests have been made so far,"Krishna Mohan was elected as an MLA as a lone candidate of Navodayam Party in 2014 and he subsequently became an "associate" of the ruling Telugu Desam Party.

AP deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, said the police would be impartial, and the government would not spare criminals. He however avoided answers on questions related to irregularities in MGNREGS fund allocation.
It is however comingout that the Chirala police was given instructions to go slow in the case by higher ups after Chinarajappa asked the police to check CCTV footage and to take action against the attackers.
