Leader of the opposition, Jagan Mohan Reddy and other YSRCP leaders protests at the runway of the Visakhapatnam airport during the RK Beach protest for special status on Republic Day, created sensation.
Now it is comingout that Police Commissioner of Visakhapatnam,following prior information that YSRCP leaders may create some problems, asked some of his police personnel to get air tickets of different airlines and deployed them at sensitive points of the sterile area.
It is known that Civil Aviation Act states that no person other than passengers and staff is permitted on the ground or should be allowed on the runway and the Police Commissioner thoroughly knew this.
Police Commissioner citing the same act asked Jagan and others to vacate the runway. he DGCA and BCAS have asked the airport authorities and airlines to send the list of passengers who had taken tickets on that day.
CISF supervises the security of the airports and local police cannot enter the runaway or parking bay or tarmac except on a complaint lodged by the CISF.
Now YSRCP is planning to cite these rule and lodge complaint against the cops. They are planning to raise the issue in the Rajya Sabha too.
