1.  108 fails to take injured to hospital :  A private company employee, Sanjay, slammed his bike into the road divider near Ayyapa Society on Wednesday. According to Madhapur police, the victim was going to his relatives to extend them Ugadi greetings.
2.  Survey on Muslim marriages :  A research organisation has embarked on a survey of Muslim marriages, divorce, including the now controversial oral triple talaq, and family relationships.
3.  State Waqf Board meet on April 8 :  The Telangana State Waqf Board is likely to take important decisions pertaining to streamlining of several processes in the first week of April.
4.   Deer poaching : Police to probe how accused stockpiled bullets :  Nabbing Akbar Khan, ruling TRS leader from Mahadevpur, along with Munna from Karimnagar, another accused in the March 19 spotted deer poaching case in Bhupalpally district is a priority, Mahadevpur deputy superintendent of police KRK Prasad Rao said.
5.  Hyd to celebrate 50 yrs of Mukarram Jah coronation :  Fifty years ago, on April 6, Nizam VIII, Mir Barkat Ali Khan Mukarram Jah Bahadur was coronated. And city heritage activists have geared up to celebrate the crowning moment. 
6.  Bhadrachalam-Sattupalli railway link to cut pollution on coal line :  The Railway Board has given the green signal for laying of new broad gauge railway line between Bhadrachalam Road-Sattupalli station. Though the rail line is only for 53.20-km kilometre, it is crucial in terms of transportation of coal and checking pollution.
7.  Discoms' ratings may dip, funds raising to take hit :  The performance ratings of power distribution companies in Telangana are likely to take a beating this year due to them delaying the filing of Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) for the year 2017-18 with the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission(TSERC). 
8.  Students think out of the box, shun science as career option :  Breaking away from an age-old trend, city students appear to be increasingly shunning science-related streams as a career choice. At least that's what the findings of a latest survey , conducted by a career guidance firm, reveals. According to its data, almost 69 per cent students indicated that non-science streams have higher scope.
9.  Saudi torture: Insult to injury for Haseena :  Haseena Begum, 45, of Sanathnagar, who suffered fractures in her legs and back after being pushed from the third floor by her employer (kafil) in Damam, Saudi Arabi, is in for another shock.

5.  Amaravati, Polavaram on top of agenda, says CM :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the discussion of the master plan of Amaravati in the Cabinet meeting of Singapore Government and drawing of the designs free of cost in just three months is unprecedented.
6.  3 lakh trucks to stay off the road in A.P. from today     :  Nearly three lakh trucks across 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh will stay off the road from Thursday causing serious disruption to movement of goods and services across the State.
7.  TDP activist ends life :  An activist of the Telugu Desam party, Appasani Eshwar Rao (38), of Gaddamadugu village in G. Kondur mandal, allegedly committed suicide on the city outskirts on Tuesday night. He was found hanging to the ceiling at his residence near Ibrahimpatnam.
8.  Bright future predicted for Vizag in new year :  The renovated VUDA Children’s Arena (VUDA Children Theatre) provided the perfect setting for the Ugadi (Telugu New Year) celebrations, organised by the district administration, on Wednesday.

10.  Ganja seized, 5 arrested :  The Visakhapatnam rural police have seized over 120 kgs of dry ganja and arrested five inter-state smugglers near Lingapuram area under Kotavuratla police station limits in the district on Tuesday night when the smugglers were transporting the contraband in two cars.
