The brutal gang rape of 23 year old girl Jyothi Singh in a moving bus in Delhi in 2012 shocked all. 6 serial rapists including a juvenile raped her repeatedly, brutalised, tortured and then murdered in the moving bus.

The incident attracted huge public outrage forcing the then government to bring in Nirbhaya law after Jyothi Singh to tackle attacks on women. Supreme Court of India yesterday confirmed death sentence on four rapists of Nirbhaya after hearing their petition to convert their death sentence to a life term.

Even as all right thinking people welcomed the Supreme Court judgment with thunderous applause, defence lawyer of the victims promised to file a review petition. In the meantime sister of convict, Pawan Gupta came with a shocking statement.

Taking cue from politicians like SP chief Mulayam Singh's infamous statement that boys are boys and they make mistakes, she said "Anyone can make mistakes, give him a second chance" and added "But the court has not given a second chance to my brother,"

She who recently appeared for class 10 exams responding to the brutal rape committed by her brother in 212 trivialised it saying "Ladki hassi toh fassi". It is not always the boy's fault. The girls too provoke them.Even I wear jeans and other western clothes. If a guy stares at me or passes any comment, I simply look down and walk away. But, if I start enjoying it then the boy will think that I am giving him a signal,"
