Nannapaneni Rajakumari, the chairperson of the Women's Commission of Andhra Pradesh came with sensational comments asking women to cut the penis of the rapists. She made this shocking statements fter meeting two women who were allegedly raped by 8 men in Visakhapatnam.
After meeting the two women who are recovering in a government hospital in Visakhapatam, she said "When some men behave like wild animals and resort to such atrocious acts, I think there is a need to equip girls with knives. A law is needed for this,"
It is comingout when the two girls went to the local fair along with their male friends and four decided to take shelter infront of a closed shop after rain started accused reached and attacked men and took turns to rape the women.
Nannapaneni who turned furious said "We will skin them (rapists). Police, too, should not mask the rapists' faces whenever they are caught. Instead, they have to be paraded in streets, thrashed with footwear and brooms and only then lodged in police station,"
It is comingout that when the two women informed their parents, they approached the village elders instead of police. The elders tried to cover the case by asking the culprits to pay Rs 50000. Women refused that and filed a police complaint. It is comingout that the 8 accused include sons of a block elected representative and a head constable and their six friends have been absconding.
