Vijayapura sources have stated that the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) is the largest supplier of milk in the state, has procured adequate milk to meet the growing demand for the festival which is celebrated across the world after the end of fasting month of Ramzan.



The officials have stated that demand for milk has increased from 2.25 lakh litres last year to 2.60 lakh litres this year in the district. It was stated that this year around 40,000 litres are supplied by private agencies which put the total demand for milk at around 3 lakh litres.

Meanwhile D. Ashok, Managing Director of KMF’s Vijayapura-Bagalkot Cooperative Milk Federation stated that they have made steps to supply adequate quantity of milk to the people during this festive season. The demand had increased to 60,000 litres in Shivamogga district and an addition of 12 heavy containers has been deployed to supply milk to the people. It is anticipated that the people’s needs was met out and the people aren’t left distressed.
