If any one is threatened by the Panchayat polls, it is the TRS, the self styled monopoly campaigner for separate Telangana that too by all Seemandhra parties ?The cheers in Congress camp were also short lived as TDP bagged 143 panchayats against 170 of the Congress and a surprise 99 seats of the YSRC. No wonder TRS is pushed to wall once again by Seemandhra parties , say analysts .
Panchayat polls have made the TRS chief K CR into two panic reactions to approach Congress high command for merger and also to consider another parliamentary seat for himself. Once again Jagan strategy of pitting weaker section candidates against TDP and Congress had won the race for the YSRCP. KCR is now begging and ready to crawl before Delhi, said a senior Congress leader .
TRS is said to be a wash out in Telagnana with edges only in Warangal, Medak and Nalgonda in the first phase of panchayat poll and the party chief KCR is facing threat even in his parliament constituency of Mahboobnagar where TRS won just 12 seats, 7 in RangaReddy and 19 in Adilabad. 'What the numbers show is that people of Telangana lost confidence in TRS and KCR and hence now supporting Congress ' says a local Tleader.
