As Telangana and election fever hyped up the YSRCP leadership is worried over future of their leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy. It is now very crystal clear that Jagan has no option but to give up the Chief Minister post and let his mother of Sharmila take on the role.
Strangely Jagan, son of mighty YSR who was destined to live in palaces and occupy the seats of high power, his fate is stuck between Supreme Court- CBI and Election commission though the peoples court has given a clean chit. In a terrific speed the election commission has issued a notification on contest ban on individuals like Jagan allegedly with criminal background etc based on Supreme Court recent verdict and implementing same in bye polls of August itself. That rules out Jagan contest in 2014 at all .
As per present findings in the CBI probe Jagan is likely to be sentenced for maximum of 6 years and if the ED cases of PMLA is proved he would go in for another 4 years , sources say . But if PMLA cases are confirmed his imprisonment may go up to 13 years, say police sources .
That leaves Jagan high and dry as CBI has already hoisted 14 cases in five charge sheets and he is in jail since May 27 last. All this however has not affected the morale of his party carders and leadership which exhibited Jagan wave in first phase of Panchayat polls.
Now the ball is clearly in court of Sharmila to take on the gauntlet and become Jagan's arrow in true sense .Vijayamma is all now fated to take the options and continue her role till a real compramise is made with Delhi powers to get her son out of the mess of CBI and the Quid pro quo .
