On December 11, the government ministry had said that some of the condom advertisements have a bad impact on children with their sexual content, and as per cable television network rules of 1994, and content that endangers children impacting their mind with sexually disturbing content should not be telecast in prime time.

The ministry now also quoted rule 6d that says that no program on cable service should have content with obscenity, vulgarity, defamatory, suggestive, false innuendos or half-truths, while also adding that women must not be portrayed in a derogatory, passive and submissive manner that makes them feel like playing a subordinate role in family and society.
