There is a common belief among the SA people that except CM Kiran Kumar Reddy both Botsa and Chiranjeevi failed to made their arguments against Telangana before High Command. They kept mum and decided not to go against Sonia Gandhi. As per their opponents both of these leaders are eyeing on CM post after the bi-furcation of the state.
They have in opinion that if they obey the decision of High Command they would have chance to reach top position after the bi-furcation of AP. Both are from same community and have friendship before Chiru entering into the Political arena. There was a buzz that Botsa tried to forward merge of PRP proposal to YSR when he was alive after 2009 elections. Since last 15 days Chiru and Botsa haven’t made their arguments for United Andhra both in and outside of the party. At one stage Botsa argued what is wrong when there are two states for Telugu People? Before the merging of PRP into Congress Chiru committed for United Andhra, soon after he joined in Congress he changed his stand and obey as per the wishes of Congress High Command. After Congress decided for the division of the state both these leaders maintain strategic silence and haven’t made arguments strongly at any stage unlike other Congress leaders like Lagadapati, Undavalli, Rayapati and Anantha.
Now the agitation in SA spread all over the districts for United Andhra. Agitators have demanded for the resignations of the leaders. At last they opened their mouth and make their statements for United Andhra. SA people expect the heroism of Chiru after Congress announced for Telangana. They haven’t expected Chiru silence at this stage. His fans also got anger on their hero. Chiru’s silence pushes his family into troubles.
