Mysuru sources reported that exuding confidence of a win from Badami in North Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that he would visit it for just a day and hold only one public meeting in the constituency. He said "The rest will be taken care of by the local leaders," further adding that he would file his nomination for Badami at 2 pm, Tuesday.

Meanwhile the Chief Minister, who was speaking to reporters here, before heading to campaign for his son, Dr S Yatindra in Varuna, was however, noncommittal when asked which of the two constituencies, Chamundeswari or Badami, he was banking on the most.

Further he would like to make Karnataka the number one state in the country if Congress is elected for the sake of social harmony and brotherhood.
