As people are getting ready to celebrate the festival of lights, Deepavali, on November 6, which marks the destruction of evil by good, and marking the killing of the demon Kamsa by Lord Krishna, the Tamilnadu government has given the people of the state yet another reason to rejoice, as the government has announced an additional holiday.

 


The festive season will usually mark the travel of lot of people from different cities to their native places, as they also take additional holidays to take the time to spend with their families, and this set of people include college students and corporate employees. A request was earlier placed before the TN government to announce a government holiday on the day prior to Deepavali that is on November 5.

Now the TN government has paid heed to this request by announcing holiday on November 5, and as a compensation, November 10 will be a working Saturday. Now the TN government has announced special trains and buses, and now people will be enjoying an extended 4 day weekend festive season from November 3 to 6.
