The new cyclone that has been formed in the south east Bay of Bengal and the Indian ocean areas around it, has been named as Phethai, and it has been said that this cyclone won't be of much trouble for Tamilnadu and will have minimal rainfalls. Within the next 24 hours, in the southeast Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean areas, there will be a low pressure trough formation, and this will become a pressure zone, following which a cyclone will be formed, and will move towards TN - Andhra Pradesh, as said by experts.

 


It was predicted that the cyclone will attack Chennai. However, the latest analysis says that this cyclone might move towards Andhra, and on 12th, it will move towards the sea. On 16th it might be moving to Odisha, and due to this, on Monday there might be heavy rainfall in North Tamilnadu.

Post the rampage of Gaja cyclone that impacted the delta areas and spoiled the livelihood of people and destroyed their properties and lands, there has been a dry climate all over, and for the next 24 hours, it has been expected that there might be less quantity of rains in several regions of Tamilnadu as said by meteorological department.
