Realizing the fact that Congress cannot win a single seat in case it goes with Telangana formation, sources say that Congress high command is trying at an entirely new game plan in Seemandhra projecting Kiran Kumar Reddy as Samaikya hero. Maybe this explains his defiant stand in the last few weeks.
It has to be remembered that when Congress couldn’t go strongly in Telangana after 1969 movement, it used Chenna Reddy’s charisma to win elections on Telangana plank and later merged with Congress after winning elections.
In a similar manner, Congress party is planning to direct a new party under Kiran’s direction and once it can upstage TDP & YSRCP in Seemandhra, the only region where these parties are having some hope, Kiran can conveniently merge his party with Congress after elections.
