All eyes are on India's Lok Sabha Elections and the Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the final dates a few minutes back. The elections will be conducted in seven phases in April-May and the counting will be done on May 23, 2019.



Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora addressed the press along with Election commissioners Sushil Chandra and Ashok Lavasa. During the press conference, Mr.Sunil Arora said that 84.3 new voters were added since 2014. He also added that the date has been scheduled in such a way by keeping the examination schedule in mind in order to avoid any inconvenience to the students.



The EVM's will be tracked through GPS as there have been security issues. All Photos of candidates will be there next to their symbol. In 2014, there were just 9 lakh polling stations, but now, there will be approximately 10 lakh polling stations. The election candidates cannot use loudspeakers between 10 pm to 6 am. The first phase of Lok Sabha polls will take place on April 11th and the second phase will take place on 18th of April. Third phase on April 23, Fourth on April 29, the Fifth phase on May 6th, Sixth and final phase on May 12th.
