Reportedly the development of Andhra Pradesh and the development works ongoing in the state are a standing testimony to the efforts of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Meanwhile the Polavaram Project and river linking of Krishna and Godavari, all the welfare schemes' successful roll-out, bringing investments into the state and all the areas in which Andhra Pradesh is doing well is clearly attributed to Chandrababu Naidu's governance and vision.
Furthermore it is a well-known fact that neither his cabinet ministers nor MLAs really have subject knowledge nor are they bothered to perform in their respective constituencies. Apparently TDP sources say that most of these MLAs are over-confident that people will factor in Chandrababu's image and vote for the party. Apparently corruption allegations on them have been massive and the TDP Chief is very upset with his legislators about their lackadaisical attitude.
Moreover if the Telugu Desam Party loses this time, several karyakartas say
that it could be because of his legislators. Hence there is information that
they have not been spending their money on elections campaigns too and have
relied heavily on the party's image and welfare schemes, without doing their
bit. Furthermore TDP sources stated if the party wins this time,
Chandrababu is also mulling strict action on them based on the corruption
allegations against them and other legislators will face the music from
Chandrababu this time and they would be wholly responsible for bringing down
the TDP government despite delivering on its promises and performing
well.
