YSR Congress general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy filed a petition in the High Court alleging that Andhra Pradesh police are tapping the party for the ruling party of its party leaders along with him. Interestingly, the matter was acknowledged by the government in court.
According to AP Government Advocate General Dammalpati Srinivas, phone tapping was done according to specific terms before the high court. He said that the Phone Tapping was done following Section 5 (2) of the Telegraph Act 1885. The High Court has directed the government to furnish these details in a written affidavit.
The bench comprising Justices Akula Venkata Seshasai and Justice Upaka Durga Prasad issued the order. If the rules are violated in Phones Tapping, it will be a serious issue and will trouble Chandrababu big time. In 2015 after Vote for Note scam, Chandrababu alleged Phone Tapping by Telangana Government.
