The Election Commission is going to conduct re-polling in five polling stations in the state on 6 of this month. Addressing media on Thursday, he said the re-polling will start from morning 7 AM to Evening 6 PM. All the booths will be treated as most sensitive polling stations and additional EVMs and VVPATs are going to keep ready along with BHEL engineers for immediate repair in case of repairs to EVMs or VVPATs.
The polling stations that are going for re-poll includes Kesanapalli (booth number 94) in Narsaraopet constituency in Guntur district, Nallacheruvu (booth no.244) in Guntur West constituency, Isukapalli (booth no.41) in Pallepalem in Kovuru constituency in Nellore district, No.197 booth in Atakanitippa of Sullurupet constituency and Kadanoothala (no.247) in Yerragondapalem in Prakasam district.
TDP and YSR Congress are not in a mood of taking these Repolling Lightly because, in tight elections, these 100s of votes may even come handy in deciding the winners. Repolling became imminent in these polling stations due to malfunctioning of EVMS, abnormal delay in starting of polling, clashes, and other incidents. The counting for Andhra Pradesh Elections will happen on May 23rd and the results will be out on the same day.
