Previously in July, ISRO had said the Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft was in "good health" and moving in the "right direction". Reportedly an official of the Bengaluru-headquartered ISRO said "The Chandrayaan-2 is in good health. There is no doubt about it. It is moving in the right direction”.

Moreover ISRO is aiming for a soft landing of the lander (spacecraft) in the south Pole region of the moon where no country has gone so far and apparently the agency has planned a total of 15 orbit raising manoeuvres before the 3,850 kilogram’s (kg) three-module Chandrayaan-2 comprising an orbiter, lander and rover are brought around the Moon, which is at a distance of nearly four lakh km from the Earth.
