ESL Narasimhan who has been the Governor of Telangana since its formation is finally going to bid goodbye to the State's raj Bhavan. Tamil Nadu BJP President, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan who lost to kanimozhi from the Tuticorin Lok Sabha constituency in the recent elections will be replacing him. She has been the face of the party in Tamil Nadu over the past few years.
BJP has a strong reason to select Tamilisai as the Governor. She is going to be the first Woman Governor of Telangana which is yet to have a woman Cabinet Minister. The Saffron Party can claim to have given good importance to women while the ruling Telangana Rastra Samiti has ignored them. Even though at 58, she is fairly young for a gubernatorial role.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan is a medical doctor and former President of the Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party. She was a National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party prior to this appointment. On the other side, Telangana Chief Minister kcr called her this evening on Phone and warmly welcomed her to the State. It has to be seen if BJP will try to play its Political Cards through her.
