According to sources hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) has announced that it is launching a WhatsApp helpline for passengers to share their grievances. Meanwhile according to HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy the service is likely to begin in the next 10 days.

Furthermore this step comes after a video of a man who appeared to be drunk and created a ruckus in the metro went viral. Reportedly HMRL announced that with this service, security would promptly address the problems of the passengers. Accordingly the incident took place on the route between Secunderabad and Tarnaka on September 8, but came to light only on September 13 and the man, who is absconding, boarded the train in Secunderabad and inconvenienced his co-passengers.



When speaking about the WhatsApp service, NVS Reddy told TNM, “The WhatsApp services will begin in another ten days. We are working on its modalities.” Reddy said that the WhatsApp service would ensure that such miscreants would be caught immediately.
