Ever increasing prices of combustion fuel makes hyderabad second most costlier for petrol in all metros, fuel prices are going to cost more in coming days in the city.


The prices of petrol and diesel have increased abruptly by 2 rs in last two weeks, which makes the city of pearls the second most costlier metro for petrol across all metros of the country.Speculation is rife that petrol prices might be increased by another 5 rs in next 10 days or so, the reason is attributed to increase in global oil prices due to turmoil in Saudi Arabian oil production sector.


The price of petrol and diesel on Monday was 78.39 and 72.79 respectively, the price difference between petrol and diesel is now 5.6 rs per litre which used to have a difference of 25 to 30 rs earlier.The price of petrol is second only to mumbai, where it costs 79.57, Ahmedabad has the cheapest petrol price of 71.32 rs per litre. Dealers association said that unless the central and state governments don’t reduces sales tax and duty tax the prices will continue to rise
