Chidambaram taken to AIMS after complained of stomach pain
Chidambaram was rushed to AIIMS after he complained of abdominal pain from Tihar jail on Saturday, medical tests are been done by medics at the hospital.
Former finance minister P. Chidambaram who is currently lodged in Tihar jail was rushed to AIIMS (All India institute of medical sciences) after he complained of abdominal pain on Saturday. Chidambaram was taken to emergency ward of AIIMS on Saturday afternoon, the medics are currently monitoring his health.
Doctors carried out few medical test to know the cause of abdominal discomfort. Earlier Chidambaram requested for home cooked food as he is suffering from various medical conditions. Sources from hospital said he is not admitted, he will be discharged after his health gets better.
P. Chidambaram was arrested after a FIR registered against him by CBI (central bureau of investigation) in connection with irregularities in Foreign investment promotion board (FIPB) for clearance to INX media group in receiving overseas funds of 305 crores in 2007. P. Chidambaram was union finance minister then.
Although, Chidambaram has refuted all allegations on him, he termed the allegations baseless.
