Indian origin Qaeda arm chief killed in US-Afghan joint operation 

An Indian origin Qaeda arms chief was killed in joint operation of US and Afghan security forces, this news was confirmed by NDS of Afghanistan. He was appointed as chief by Al-Zawahiri in 2014.

    Indian origin chief of AQIS (Al-Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent) was killed last month in joint operation of US and Afghan security forces, Maulana Asim Umer also known as Sanaul Haq was basically from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. He was appointed chief by Al-Zawahiri in 2014.

    Although Umer was carrying a Pakistani passport as claimed by Afghani officials, but, reportedly he disappeared from Sambhal in 1995 after demolition of Babri mosque. He was suspected to be hiding in pakistan since then. He did his education from Darul Deoband, completed his graduation from this prestigious Muslim educational institution. He was in group of radical jihadi groups after demolition of Babri mosque, reportedly, he fled to pakistan in 1995, he cut all his connection from his family.

    He was identified by Asif a Sambhal resident and cleric Abdul rahman from odisha, they were arrested by Delhi  and odisha police in 2015.
