telangana Rashtra Samiti has managed a sensational victory in Huzurnagar By—Election. trs Candidate, saidi reddy cruised to victory with a whopping 43,358 Votes Majority. It is known that the by-election is necessitated after PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy is elected to the Parliament and he had to resign from Huzurnagar Assembly Segment.
Party Senior Leader Chava Kiranmayi entered the fray as a tdp candidate. But she could manage just 1827 votes which equal to 0.92% of the Total Votes. Needless to say the party lost its deposit and has come in the Sixth Position behind trs, congress, Independent, and BJP.
Contesting Huzoornagar is a risky decision because the party did not contest here in the 2018 elections. It has left the seat to congress as a part of seat-sharing. In 2014, it has contested but came fourth after congress, trs, and YSR Congress. Contesting the seat now will mean huge risk. The party took the risk to send a message to the party cadre at the grass-root level that the party is still alive and kicking. But it looks like it has misfired.
