Reportedly as heavy rains continue in several districts of kerala, an orange warning has been issued for the southern districts of Thiruvananthapuram and kollam for Tuesday. Meanwhile heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated places in the state in the coming days due to the north east monsoon and also due to the depression on the southern Sri Lankan coast.

Apparently an orange warning has also been issued for alappuzha, ernakulam and idukki districts for wednesday, october 30, Malappuram and kozhikode districts will be under Orange warning on thursday, october 31. Further an orange warning is issued for authorities to be prepared when heavy to very heavy rainfall prevails. Perhaps the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the possibility of 115 mm to 204.5 mm rains in isolated places in the districts where orange warning has been issued because of a depression region that has formed to the south of the Bay of Bengal near the southern Sri Lankan coast.

Moreover the depression is likely to be strengthened over Kanyakumari region on tuesday and become a deep depression over Lakshadweep-Maldives region on Thursday. Presently a warning has been issued for fishermen not to venture into the sea on the Kanyakumari-Maldives-Lakshadweep coast.
