The liberal allocations of the State
government for
chief minister jagan Mohan Reddy's
tadepalli Residence have garnered the national
media attention. The latest controversy is that Aluminium doors and windows worth Rs 73 lakh have been installed at the home-cum-office, according to GO 259. This is in addition to the huge amounts already spent on the house.
While a road was laid for Rs 5 crore, the bill for electrical works came to a whopping Rs 3.6 crore. An amount of Rs 1.89 crore was spent to build a helipad and other security arrangements while Rs 3.25 crore was spent to acquire extra land for construction of
view cutter. The ruling party says that most of this expenditure has been incurred on the advice of the security establishment to keep the
cm safe.
One would wonder why 73 Lakh is needed for Aluminium doors and windows of the
house which is not even 6-7 months old. One wonders what is the quality of this aluminum that it has to cost a bomb. Opposition
tdp alleges that
jagan is completing his
house construction at the expense of the State Exchequer.
