The indefinite stir launched by the employees of
telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) reached the 39th day today,
telangana chief minister k chandrashekar rao might be on the road to end the stalemate by agreeing to pay heed to their long-pending demand and provide a salary hike.
Over-riding the demand of RTC's merger into the
government,
kcr has instructed the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) in the state to look into the matter and submit a report within 10-12 working days. Without a source of livelihood, financial problems coupled with the mental trauma has driven several innocent employees to commit suicide.
One more striking employee,

driver in
mahabubabad depot committed suicide by consuming pesticides. He left behind a suicide
letter in which he claimed the
chief minister as the reason for his death. These suicides may have prompted the
chief minister to rethink. The
government decision will benefit about 3.5 lakh employees and two lakh pensioners in the state. Nearly, 48,600 employees were on a
strike since the last 39 days demanding the merger of
rtc in the Government.
