All india Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) had decided to file a review petition in the ayodhya case. The decision was taken after the meeting of its Executive Committee today in Lucknow. "The land of the mosque belongs to Allah and under Sharia law, it cannot be given to anybody," AIMPLB secretary Zafaryab Jilani told reporters after the meeting.

The board also categorically refused to take five-acre land in ayodhya in lieu of the mosque. The board is of the view that there cannot be an alternative to the mosque. In a unanimous verdict last week, the supreme court cleared the way for the construction of a ram temple at the disputed site in ayodhya and directed the Centre to allot a five-acre plot to the sunni waqf board for building a mosque.

On the other side, ayodhya district administration has begun preparations for a fresh demarcation of acquired land in the Ramjanmabhoomi site. The Union government also started the process of forming the Trust needed to take up the construction. However, a bill has to be passed in the parliament before doing that.
