Reportedly Abir, a Class 5 student at Elampilad LP school in kozhikode district, is a star among his classmates. This young boy was resourceful enough to go to the police station and file a complaint over the delay in getting the cycles he'd given for repairing over two months ago. Meanwhile on friday, the school organized a meeting to felicitate Abir and the kerala police also appreciated him on their official facebook page.

Furthermore Abir wrote a complaint letter on a page from his notebook and approached Meppayur Station house Officer Anoop G on Monday. Abhir’s complaint reads "My cycle and my brother's too were given for repair on september 5. We haven't gotten it back yet. When we gave the cycles, Rs 200 was paid. Sometimes, when we call the shop, the phone will not be answered. If it is answered, they will promise to give it soon. When we go in person, the shop will be closed. There is no one at home to pursue this. So, sir should get it for us”.

Perhaps the Meppayur SHO then assigned civil police officer radhika to solve the issue at the earliest. radhika told "As soon as the complaint was received, the officer filed it and assigned me. I, along with Abir, went to the repair shop and talked to the mechanic. Since he was having some illness, he promised to repair the cycles by Thursday. They got the cycles back. Later, the school organized an event to congratulate him. He showed his trust in the police and we didn't take it lightly”. Earlier on thursday, after Abir and his brother got their cycles back, the kerala police took to facebook to congratulate them.
